Ethics and Transparency Principles

The rules we follow in selection, mentoring and investment

Ethics and Transparency Principles

Founders entrust us with their ideas, customer lists and financial data. To protect that trust we follow the principles below.

Selection process

Every application is scored by a panel of at least three people against the same criteria: team, problem and market, solution and product, traction, and fit with Çimlen. The criteria are published in the Guides section. Panel members abstain from voting when they have a stake in the applicant.

Confidentiality

  • Application files are seen only by the evaluation panel and the programme team.
  • Mentors sign a confidentiality undertaking and do not share a startup's information without the founder's consent.
  • Data presented to investors is shared with the founder's approval.

Conflicts of interest

When a mentor wants to invest in or advise a startup, they notify the programme team in writing and the mentoring relationship ends. Çimlen employees cannot hold personal equity in alumni startups.

Personal data

Application and membership data is processed under Law No. 6698 (KVKK). Details are in the Privacy Notice.

Feedback

Ethics concerns can be sent to etik@cimlen.com.tr. Reports are answered within 15 days and the reporter's identity is protected.
